IT
provides support and assistance for students, faculty, and staff
at Skidmore College. IT consists of four divisions: Academic
Technologies , Consulting Services, Enterprise
Systems, and Technical
Services. The current CTO of IT is Justin

Mission Statement:
The mission
of IT is to work in partnership with members of the Skidmore
Community to facilitate their use of computing, telephone, and
network technologies. To advance Skidmore's institutional mission
and strategic goals, we strive to empower members of the Community
to effectively utilize technology resources by providing excellent
support services and infrastructure.
Academic
Technologies exists to assist faculty and staff to
effectively incorporate technology into their endeavors. Academic
Technologies consists of two subgroups: Training
and Documentation (provides excellent computer training
opportunities for the campus community) and
Media Services. (design, install and maintain
technology classrooms, and distribute av equipment for all campus
functions. Media production services, and a Media Center equipped
for scanning, CD-R and DVD-R burning, graphics and video editing)

Consulting
Services is responsible for campus-wide computer
support, technology the IT Help
Desk. and manages the Computer
Depot which offers recommendations and purchasing options
for Skidmore's computing needs. The Director is Bill

Enterprise
Systems is responsible for Skidmore's administrative databases
used by offices and departments across the college. Enterprise Systems
supports the gathering, processing, and interpreting of information
relative to the administrative tasks that support the academic mission
of Skidmore College. The Director is Jeffrey

Technical
Services manages Skidmore's telephone and digital network
services, as well as all hardware and equipment repairs. This group
also handles student telephone service, and voice mail. The Director
