Academic Technologies provides encouragement and support
for faculty, staff, and students as they explore and learn new technologies.
From the novice to the technically savvy, Academic Technologies provides
a friendly environment to assist in learning to utilize technology to achieve
academic objectives. Instructional Technologists are available to offer
general consultation on curricular projects that involve the use of familiar
and newly emerging electronic tools.
The Instructional Technology Center, located in Harder Hall, Room 110 is open from 8:30AM to
4:30PM, and is equipped to help you prepare online course materials and other
multimedia projects. Academic Technologies also presents a series of training
workshops and faculty lunch seminars.
The Academic Technologies group is available to assist with:
- Web-based course development with either Dreamweaver or WebCT
- Training on a variety of software applications
- Assistance with the creation of digital teaching resources
- Access to digital photo and video equipment for faculty
- Course support for instructional media projects
- Evaluation and recommendation of technology solutions
- Documentation and Resource Materials
- Support for online collaborative technologies (Blogs, Wiki's, and Discussion Boards)
- Course related videoconferencing
